Beast Riders is a website that has been dedicated to helping hundreds of thousands of bikers to get the information they need without any cost.
We have tried to achieve that, but the slow increase in viewership forced us to take some steps to ensure that we will be reachable by many more bikers in need.
That is why, as of April29 2022, Beast Riders is merging with ToysinTheSunRun.com.
Previous owners have long abandoned it, which allowed us to purchase it.
The main reason for purchasing this abandoned website was that it not only had a relevant and established viewer base, but it would help us be more prominent on search engines.
What Was ToysinTheSunRun.com?
The organization has been around since 1987, and it manages an annual toy drive carried out around Christmas time.
More than 32 motorcycle organizations managed the last few drives! Although the first one was not that big of a hit, the following ones became more and more famous.
This annual drive not only included rides for children but also included other fun activities such as face paintings and a chance for more than hundreds of sellers to promote their products.
There is a dedicated food court that caters to the masses, a bike show, and other ways of entertainment that make the whole day worth remembering.
Since its introduction in 1987, Toys in the Sun Run has been able to collect and distribute more than $20 million worth of toys. But this Toy Run is not only about kids.
With over $4 million collected in revenue, they have given away hundreds of thousands of dollars to organizations that help kids in need. This helps them reach and make the lives of thousands of children better.
How Does It Work?
You might be wondering how does this annual drive work?
This is all possible thanks to the support of wonderful people and riders. Their entry fees and a toy that they bring for donation help gather everything needed for this drive to succeed.
Yearly raffles and non-stop entertainment also play key roles in attracting a crowd. Plus, all proceeds are forwarded to sick children and adults in need. Who does not want to help people and children?
Who Sponsors Toys In The Sun Run?
The Toys in the Sun Run, conducted every year since 1987, was initiated by the SFPC. The South Florida President’s Council of Motorcycle Clubs and Organizations is the one that sponsors this event.
They have gathered over 23 clubs that help organize this event every year. The parade is carried out at the same place every year.
It travels 26 miles to Broward County from Pompano Beach in Florida. The parade lasts for three hours, during which people are kept entertained.
The Fraternal Order of Police is the one that collects all donated toys and distributes them evenly in four counties.
The event has raised more than $4 million throughout its lifespan. This has been made possible by asking for only a $10 donation from all bikers. They generously do so.
Who Takes Part In This Annual Run?
Anyone can join the Toys in the Sun Annual Run. There are already volunteers from New York, California, Boston, Detroit, and many more that take part in this event every year. And you can join too!
All you need is to buy a ticket and be a part of the largest motorcade in the world. This parade is owed to the bikers that are present themselves. Without them, none of this would have been possible.
Donations
The Toys in the Sun Run event has had a lot of success in the past few decades. It has accomplished a lot, and not only by providing kids with new toys. They have made several donations, which have helped thousands of people.
- $100000 was donated to the Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS)
- $12000 was given to Shott Memorial
- The North Broward Hospital District was given $1500
- $7500 was awarded to the Old Age Broward County
- The Broward County Parks and Recreation was donated $10000
- A $2500 donation was made to the Children’s Health Foundation
That is not all. Toys In the Sun has also been a donator for improving the health of adults. They have given away money to people with cystic fibrosis, diabetes, and cancer.
So, this annual run benefits thousands of children, but these pros are also extended to the adults of the community.
Entertainment
An example of the type of talent recruited by this show will help you understand what is being discussed.
One thing that people loved about Toys in the Sun Run was its various sources of entertainment. People were entertained for the whole day, and they did not feel bored.
On the 18th toy run, the organization hired Brett “The Big Schwag” Wagner to keep the people happy and entertained. Brett has been in the entertainment business for 15 years and knows exactly how to keep people smiling.
Brett has been invited to 40 different shows and films throughout his 15-year time in the entertainment industry. He even has his radio show, telling people that this run does not recruit the second-best talent.
It does not end there. The same event also had Steven and Richie as that year’s Grand Marshalls. They were joined by Sheriff Ken Jenne, who was leading the parade.
They would also be present at Markham Park at 11 am, signing autographs. I don’t know about you, but I would not miss that.
VIP Riders
There is nothing more fun and entertaining than riding in front of a parade. Well, anyone can be a part of that elite squad. VIP riders lead the parade, but they also get some bonuses.
They will receive a souvenir t-shirt, complimentary breakfast and lunch, and more. All that needs to be done is to purchase a ticket and fill in an application to be a part of the VIP riders of the parade.
Become A Vendor
Don’t have the capacity to join in as a rider? Or do you want to provide the masses with high-quality food?
Well, you can also join this event as a vendor. Whether it be merchandise or food, everything can be sold on the annual Toys in the Sun Run.
The event is already packed with people and vendors that sell all kinds of food, clothing, and souvenirs. It does not hurt to add one more to the list. All you need to do is to fill in the required vendor form.
There are two of them available, one for merchandise vendors and the second one being for food vendors. Pick carefully!
If you want to be a part of this event, you should make sure to apply in a timely fashion. Late applications are not accepted, and no exceptions are made.
Raffles
As is the case with any great event, this one also has raffles that allow people to win prizes. All you need to do is buy Toy Run raffle tickets, which will allow you to be part of the draw. Winners will get pretty good prizes.
Let’s take a look at the kind of prizes the Toys in the Sun Run has given before. In 2005, the winner of the raffle would be awarded the latest model of a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The winner could also opt for receiving a cash prize, which was $15000. The person coming in second place would win $2500.
The third winner would be lucky enough to win $1000 or a Sturgis Bike Tow, whatever they preferred.
The Harley Davidson bike that is awarded to the winner has been given away by the company itself.
The Sturgis Bike Tow, on the other hand, was donated by the owner of Motorcycle Freight. These donations alone can tell you which kind of crowd this annual run collected.
The best part was you could enter the raffle for a $5 ticket only. That was a steal. You are not only having fun but are getting a chance to win something or cash that might help you. This attracts a lot of people.
Bicycle Drive
It is recent news that Toys in the Sun Run has also started collaborating with an organization known as Bicycles for Children.
This one was discovered by Nate Jordan, a person who thought that every child deserves a bicycle of his own. Nate approached the handlers of the Toys in the Sun Run, and they agreed to help.
In the first year alone, Nate was able to get enough money to purchase 38 bicycles for children. Next year, that number jumped up to 150.
Now, the question arises of which children are chosen to receive these bicycles? This is decided by the Kiwanis Club and some other organizations, all of which are also part of the Toys in the Sun Run.
Nate Jordan’s goals for every year are increasing, and thanks to the generosity of the people, he is able to achieve them too.
This is a huge accomplishment and has allowed hundreds of children to get bicycles that they may not have been able to afford. It is a commendable effort.
Contact
As this website has been abandoned by the owners of the Toys in the Sun Run Program, this definitely does not mean that it has been discontinued too.
They have not shifted to a new website, but they are very active. They have a dedicated Facebook page, where constant updates are being posted. They can also be contacted via email and phone.
- Their email address is; wogprincess@aol.com.
- They can be called directly using the number: 954-343-8782.
These are the only ways of contacting this organization, according to my research. If you are here just for the updates, then there is nothing better than their Facebook page.
